Supporting Statement

I am an ambitious, conscientious and highly motivated designer, seeking employment in the Graphic Design industry. I am studying a degree in Graphic Design at the Arts Institute Bournemouth.

I have industry experience of over 4 years, having worked for Devon County Council as a web designer. Along with designing a range of web sites for customers throughout the South West, this role saw frequent liaison with clients and colleagues, with a high level of professionalism.

In 2006 I completed an A level in Graphic Design in order to access Higher Education. I have over seven years freelance experience, dealing with a variety of clients and am competent in industry standard software, including Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Flash and Dreamweaver.

Good time-management sees me working on a steady influx of freelance projects whilst I complete my studies to a high standard. Examples of these can be found on my portfolio page.

I enjoy writing and am currently working on my dissertation, for which I am investigating the role of Higher Education in becoming a successful graphic designer.
